The Galen Decision Support System (DSS) presents a menu to a user with options to select from a list of asset management reports. The reports address several functions that include optimal scheduling for maintenance of fleet vehicles, optimal distribution of freight, optimal assignment of workers to various jobs and optimization and analysis of required maintenance parts. Time series analysis and predictive analytics are used to estimate several unknown features. These include parts required for future maintenance, possible numbers and types of unscheduled maintenance and estimated required workers of various skill levels. Galen can be modified to address any asset management scheduling and Optimization Issues.
